Dr. Christopher Fronczak
Dr. Christopher Fronczak graduated with a BS in Biology from the University of Detroit Mercy, and a DDS from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. He is the 2019 recipient of the 2019 Chalmers J. Lyons Academy Oral Surgery Award.
Portage dentist, Dr. Fronczak is a board member of the Kalamazoo Valley District Dental Society, a member of the American Dental Association, a member of the Michigan Dental Association, and he volunteered for two years with the University of Michigan School of Dentistry Outreach Program in both Greece and Jamaica!
Working with patients, educating them, and helping them improve their life through excellent oral healthcare is what Dr. Fronczak enjoys the most. He says, “I enjoy the opportunity to help others regain their confidence through working with them to achieve a healthy smile that radiates from within.”
Patients love coming to see Dr. Fronczak because he works to thoroughly explain and educate them on each step of their treatment plan in a relaxed and transparent manner. The good communication and laid back approach allows even the newest patients to feel at home. In a typical work day, the team works collaboratively and efficiently. The relationships that have been built with the folks who come through the practice doors make working each day fun and exciting for each member of the team.
When he’s not at the office seeing patients, Dr. Fronczak enjoys weight lifting, staying up to date on the newest trends in technology, and doing home improvement projects around the house.
Jamie – Registered Dental Hygienist
Our Registered Dental Hygienist, Jamie, is a 2012 graduate from the Dental Hygiene Program at Kalamazoo Valley Community College. She’s certified in the administration of local anesthetic and nitrous oxide.
Jamie started with us in 2014. She enjoys working with patients and teaching them how to care for their teeth and gums properly.
Why does she like working with our patients? “I love getting to know them and seeing them smile because I know they are getting the best oral healthcare possible,” she said.
Jamie lives in Kalamazoo with her husband and their one son. In their spare time, they enjoy watching and playing sports, traveling, and working on home improvement projects.
Brandy – Registered Dental Hygienist
Brandy is our dental hygienist and combined, she has over 17 years of experience as a dental professional. Brandy graduated from the Olympia Career Training Institute in 2004, and continued her education, graduating with an Associate’s degree in Applied Science from Dental Hygiene School in 2010.
She enjoys educating patients on the importance of oral health and how it plays a role in the health of the whole body.
Brandy says that building rapport and trust with patients is very important. They enjoy the education and demonstrations she shares with them for their home care and appreciates the time she takes to explain how critical proper oral hygiene is.
When she’s not at work, Brandy enjoys camping, spending time with her family, and relaxing when they can find the time. She married her high school sweetheart in 2007 and together, they have 2 beautiful children!
Why does Brandy love working at Creative Dentistry? She says, “I enjoy my co-workers and the smiles and fun they bring each day. We work hard to build the same trust with our patients and provide the best quality care we can offer.”
Lee – Office Manager
Our office manager, Lee Dunaway, has over 12 years of experience in the dental field. She is a 2009 graduate of Everest Institute’s Dental Assisting program.
With our team, Lee stresses the importance of dental care while also finding time to laugh and include the patients in on the fun. Keeping things light and loose, but treating patients with respect and in a professional manner, is the key to our office culture. She says, “We love to help our patients and give them the best care possible!”
Why does she enjoy coming to work at Creative Dentistry? Lee says, “I enjoy seeing the way people’s lives change when they get the dental care that they need.”
Lee lives in Mattawan with her husband and their two kids. You can find her in the stands rooting on the kids at their many sporting events. She also loves to go camping, kayaking, and gathering around a good bonfire with friends and family.
Janessa – Dental Assistant
Our Dental Assistant Janessa has over two years of experience. She completed her Certified Dental Assisting exam in 2019.
An important part of our team, Janessa enjoys interacting with patients, learning about their concerns, and oftentimes making them laugh and feel at ease. She says, “I enjoy being able to laugh and have a good time with patients. Their concerns and needs are always our priority.” This helps us provide the best possible care!
When we asked her what she enjoys most about her role with Creative Dentistry, she said, “I love being able to help give someone their smile back. Dental Assisting is very rewarding because it is continuously changing, and you are always learning something new.”
Janessa has two sons at home. When she’s not in the office, they’re often outdoors camping, kayaking, relaxing at the beach, riding their bikes, taking the dog for a walk, or riding four wheelers. When they’re at home, Janessa enjoys crafting and cooking.
Erin – Dental Assistant
Meet our Dental Assistant, Erin Hannon! Erin is a graduate of the Ross Education Dental Assistant Program and has over four years of experience in the dental field.
Helping our doctors set up and assist with patients are her favorite parts of the job. She says, “I like being able to watch and learn more about each procedure.” Erin fits in well with our team, and our patients all know we like to keep things fun!
When she’s not at work with us at Creative Dentistry, Erin loves spending time with her boyfriend and her son. They enjoy being outside in the garden, going for walks, and camping. Her hobbies include painting and home improvement projects.
Cherri – Dental Hygienist
Meet Cherri – she is one of the friendly, smiling faces you will see here at Creative Dentistry. She is a member of our dental hygiene team with many years of experience to back her services. Cherri enjoys working with and getting to know her patients while teaching them quality hygiene skills. Patients enjoy Cherri because of her attention to detail, she personalizes her care for each and every patient and this is noticed by all. Dental health is crucial to our way of living and overall health, she enjoys this career and educating others on the importance of a healthy mouth. In her free time, Cherri enjoys spending time with her three children, searching for sea glass and Petoskey stones along Lake Michigan shorelines.
Angie – Dental Hygienist
Meet Angie Schroeder, a member of our caring and compassionate hygiene team. She earned her associate of science in dental hygiene and has gained over twenty years of experience in the field of dentistry. She enjoys being able to help patients one on one when it comes to their overall dental healthcare. Angie has a bright personality and is always trying to find something to laugh with patients about whether it be concerning dentistry or in their own lives, she is very personable and knows patients love individualized treatment care. In her free time, Angie enjoys spending time with her big family that is now expanded to a new generation. The family and their fur babies enjoy traveling and having game nights together. Jodi – Office Manager
Walking into Creative Dentistry you can look forward to being greeted by Jodi Poi, she is the office manager and has over 17 years of experience in the dental field. One of her favorite parts of working as the dental office manager is coming together as a team and customizing treatment plans for each patient. Jodi loves the fact that the team at Creative Dentistry is her second family, and the relationships she has built with patients make her job that much more enjoyable. Jodi loves being a devoted follower of Christ and spending as much time with her daughter and grandson as possible. She is also an avid golfer and spends as much time outdoors when the weather is nice.
